Inspired by 24-year old Issey Addy's own life-changing friendship, Soul Connection is the next British romantic comedy comfort film.
Set in the quintessential English countryside, Soul Connection follows an intergenerational friendship between an eccentric widow in her 70s and a hopeless romantic in her 20s, as they mentor one another in the world of love, changing views on romance and feeling isolated in modern society. It will be a journey of friendship, love, loss and a world you will want to escape into.
From graduation project to feature film...
To be filmed and set in Yorkshire, Soul Connection is a touching Romantic Comedy film celebrating love, aging, and the magic of inter-generational friendships.
At our core, we are a team of scrappy young filmmakers who started out with a proof of concept short film which was our film school graduation project. We have worked incredibly hard to bring on board leading industry talent to work with us and create this truly special film.
Soul Connection was inspired by writer-director Issey Addy's real life unexpected friendship with a woman in her 70s and their exploration of dating, the modern world and love in all forms.
